Founder of Silver & Steel

Bethany May Silver est. 2017 works in 100% recycled sterling silver and gold to create both one off statement pieces; and small batch, wearable collections for all genders. She uses a mix of casting and hand forming techniques. Pieces are tactile and inspired by travel, urban living and underground DIY culture.

Rebecca Enderby

Previously working from a private studio in the vibrant city of Berlin, Rebecca is developing her jewellery design career. She focuses on form, often casting from wax and using molten metals to create fluid, soft shapes. Each item is unique and has organic differences bringing personality and joy.

John Kelly

A notable figure in the local jewellery industry, John has a lifelong career in design-led jewellery retail and the auction industry. Turning this experience onto his own personal creativity, John is a resident at the start of his unique design journey. His love of the physicality of the craft gives tactile, weighty forms. Each piece is unique and formed by hand from solid silver.

Kirsten creates floral silver and gemstone pieces. She is an early stage jeweller who loves to learn and is currently building stock and exploring processes.

Lorna aka LORES Studio

Lorna is the award winning goldsmith and gemologist behind her brand LORES.

LORES is a sustainable, thoughtful brand based in Bristol. Lorna’s passion for nature and science shines through her collections and each piece is created to a high standard using carefully selected gemstones and recycled metals.

She is a professional CAD user and is also taking the lead on repairs at Silver & Steel with our Laser welder.

Beautiful bells, twisted hoops and nature castings. Electras work is tactile and fun. Electra has a background in design and is gently using this to explore jewellery making.

Lindsay McDonagh

Lindsay was the first designer we stocked in Silver & Steel and became a resident in 2024.

Her work is summery and light focusing on cold connected individual hammered petals of silver and rolled gold. She is experimental with tech and AI, exploring how it interfaces with the creative world.

Sam Ritte

The King of Slugs. Sam creates statement jewellery from silver, gold and other metals. He is inspired by sculptural movements exploring form and detail.

His work is both technical and full of humour. Connecting patrons across subcultures and generational divides - his designs are loved by the unlikeliest of wearers, as well as the likeliest - tattoo artists, metal heads and jewellers!

Sam is a generous, skilled jeweller and we can’t wait to see what he’s brewing up next!

Shruti

Shruti is a wholesale jewellery distributor who uses Silver & Steel as an office. She is the only resident who isn’t a maker. Shruti joined Silver & Steel to be a part of a jewellery making community, so that she was closer to the craft that she works with.

Silver & Steel does not stock Shrutis work.

Tooth Gem Resident

Milk Teeth, our resident tooth gem artist is a full time tattooer and body piercer working in some of the areas top studios. This background and training in hygiene brings an awareness of cross contamination which means Milk Teeth uses clean practices to give you a safe, long lasting tooth gem.

What is a tooth gem?

A Tooth Gem is a small synthetic crystal, or solid gold design that is fixed to your teeth using orally safe dental glue. They can last anywhere from 2 months to 2 years depending on your oral hygiene routine and lifestyle. Prices start from £30.
